CBCC/Boston Community Change Program

Charlestown Business Climate Committee Members Jeanne Finnerty and Kara Halas presented details on the Boston Community Change Program to CBA Members at it's Annual Meeting. The program involves a discount card for local businesses.  This program is considered  “cause marketing” and allows the card holder to designate that a percentage of the purchase price go to a specified  local school or charity.  For more information, please see www.bostoncommunitychange.org.

EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS FOR BUSINESS APRIL 27, 09

LUNCH WITH THE SENATOR APRIL 1, 2009

April’s CBA member event will be “Lunch with Senator Galluchio” on Wednesday, April 1st from 12 – 2pm at the Navy Yard Bistro.  Senator Anthony Gallucio will speak and take questions from attendees.  The cost is $25.  This is one of our most popular events, as the food is incredible and the Senator is a pleasure to meet. CBA Luncheon "Meet and Greet with State Senator Anthony Gallucio"

On Tuesday, April 25th, Senator Anthony Galluchio was the featured speaker at our April Luncheon Event held at the Navy Yard Bistro. 

The Senator came and took questions from the floor from CBA members. Topics included, traffic, non-profit funding, crime, business issues and youth. 

The Navy Yard Bistro prepared a beautiful lunch menu that included a tasty fresh salad and either an Asian Inspired Salmon and rice dish or Artichoke Pasta Dish. As usual, the Navy Yard Bistro was successful in providing a meal that was more than worth the cost and was also fast and delicious.

September 30th, Luncheon Meeting Businesses Going Green

The CBA's September Kick-off meeting will be held at Bunker Hill Community College on Tuesday September 30th, 2008 at noon in the Tom Kershaw Dining Room. This meeting's topic is entitled "Businesses Going Green" and will feature a brief talk from President Mary Fifield Ph.D and a presentation from local Charlestown Business, Save that Stuff's Eric Levy and Adam Mitchell. The lunch is sponsored by Bunker Hill Community College and food is provided by BHCC Culinary Arts. Holiday Mixer Dec. 6, 2007

Our "First Annual Holiday Mixer" was a huge success with over 40 people attending to network and socialize to start off the Holiday Season. The event was held at Sorelle City Square and boasted a variety of appetizers, such as proscuitto rolled asparagus, Goat Cheese and Fig Toasts, Pizza of all kinds, Caesar Salad with chicken, varieties of sandwiches, squares, cookies tarts and more...Last but not LEAST, wonderful wonderful Coffee! The food was delicious and the attendees seemed to enjoy our first annual holiday event. This was a free event to CBA Members, Charlestown Non-profit members and their guests sponsored by the Charlestown Business Association. We hope to make the party an annual tradition, we hope you had a great time! See you all in 2007!
